Ottenuto da uve prevalentemente Merlot provenienti da uno storico vigneto su suoli argillosi ricchi di ferro, viene vinificato con estrema cura e affinato in barrique di rovere francese per un periodo prolungato, al fine di esaltarne struttura, complessità e potenziale evolutivo.
Alla vista si presenta di colore rosso rubino profondo e compatto, al naso sprigiona profumi intensi di frutta nera matura, prugna, mora, note floreali, spezie dolci, cacao e leggere sfumature terrose, mentre al palato è potente, avvolgente e setoso, con tannini fitti e vellutati, grande concentrazione e una persistenza lunghissima.
Perfetto in abbinamento a grandi piatti di carne rossa, selvaggina, brasati importanti e formaggi stagionati, è un vino da meditazione e da collezione, ideale per occasioni speciali e per chi ricerca l’eccellenza assoluta nel calice.
